Cahone Cobs
Irish Cob Breeding - Gypsy Cob

A little bit of our history...

Having fallen in love with the Irish Cob breed many years ago, I fell in love with my first filly named Happy-Ness de Soie in 2009. Being adventurous by nature, I traveled around Europe in a caravan for 4 years (2012 to 2015), accompanied by Happy-Ness and also by Comète, my beautiful Comtoise. (Self-published travel story "Europe under the Hooves", click here )

When I returned to France, and after building 2 new caravans with my partner, we travelled the country again for a year, providing nomadic driving courses/training, while being itinerant!

After these beautiful bohemian years, I felt the desire to settle down, and especially to create a small Irish Cob breeding farm (also called Gypsy Cob or Tinker). Following the births in the breeding farms via their websites was no longer enough for me! I wanted to try the adventure myself, to live this new dream.

In 2021, everything happened quickly! We were welcomed at the Brassacou estate in Ariège . At the same time, I entered professional training as an Equestrian Business Manager (BPREH now acquired, and already graduated with a BPJEPS Equestrian Tourism in 2010 and a CQP in Saddler-Harness Maker in 2009).

And… I fell for a certain number of magnificent colts, fillies and broodmares, selected from excellent bloodlines (such as Chance, Aslan, Irish Coffe, Lemon drop, One In A Million), beautiful morphologies, and sometimes on more original coat genetics including the Cream and/or Pearl genes.

In 2022/2023, I am following a long training course with Elisabeth de Corbigny: the Ecole Du Cheval (in so-called ethological riding) , I participate one week per month, with my young mare Occitania , a splendid Lusitanian.

In January 2024, I am settling permanently on a beautiful 32-hectare estate in Ariège , with about ten horses. These lands are wonderful, offering several springs and ponds, hay meadows, others very wooded, bits of forest...

The Cahône Cobs breeding is then launched!...

All horses benefit from basic handling or breaking-in work depending on their age.

In short, the CAHONE COBS adventure is really beginning, and I can't wait to see the herd evolve, the foals grow, their young being born, all supervised by our oldest and most adventurous members Happy and Coco!
